HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Waiver of Minor Subdivision Requirements for Property at 309 - 20th Street RESOLUTION NO. 00-144 RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FOR A WAIVER OF MINOR SUBDIVISION REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPERTY AT 309-20TH STREET FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, the property owner is proposing to construct a duplex on the property located at 309-20th Street; and, WHEREAS, Section 23.102(4) requires that before a zoning permit or building permit is issued, the property for which the permit is being sought be subdivided in compliance with the regulations of the City; and, WHEREAS, the property owner has requested a waiver of Section 23.303, Minor Subdivision Final Plat,since what is being contemplated is the creation of a single lot for the purpose of building the proposed duplex; WHEREAS, the legal description for the property is short and reflects a single split of the previously platted lot; and, WHEREAS, staff believes that the requirement for infrastructure and other improvements that result as part of the subdivision process already exist. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the request for a waiver of minor subdivision requirements for property at 309-20th Street is hereby approved.
