PRELIMINARY RESOLUTIOCOVERING NTHESUANT BILLYTSUNDAYO 2 ROAD PAVING
CODE
PROGRAM, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable that a certain improvement project in the City
theAmes, Iowa, to a locter ted as hereinafter described, be 384 Code of Iowa, and portion of the cost dthe thereof assesse in accordance d to
the provision of Chapter 38 ,
the property benefited thereby-, and,
WHEREAS, the City has arrad for enineering
in onnection with said gmprovementrvices with the City's
Department of„Public Work
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,
Iowa, as follows: .
Section 1. That the following

Beginning at the intersection point of the centerline of Billy Sunday Road with
the east ng26'back to k ACCne of tpavvement, storm sewer, a d Duff Avenue and tg ading hence east

Grading storm sewer, PCC curb and gutter,
9" CC pavement plus miscellaneous
Section 2. A general description of the property or a designation of the lots which the City
Council believes will be specially benefited by the said improvement are set out on
Appendix A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof as if fully set out.
Section 3. That 'the Engineers are hereby ordered to prepare preliminary plans and
specifications, an estimated cost'of the work and a plat and schedule and to file the same
with the Clerk, and shall include in the estimated cost a default fund item of not to exceed
10% of the amount to be assessed against specially benefited property.
Section 4. That the improvement shall be known as the Billy Sunday Road Paving
Program, and shall be so referred to in all subsequent proceedings.
Section 5. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof, to the extent the same may be in
conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.

Assessment Boundaries
Beginning at the NW corner of Lot 2, South Duff Community Park Subdivision, Ames, Story
County, Iowa. Thence 446.14' south along the westerly line of said Lot 2; thence easterly
766.67' along the southerly line of Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5; thence northerly 450.14' to the north
line of Lot 5; thence westerly 766.67' along the north line of Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5, to the point
