HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Contract for Replacement of SCADA Master Station at Power Plant RESOLUTION NO. 00-070 RESOLUTION FINALLY APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND FORM OF CONTRACT AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF SCADA MASTER STATION FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,has heretofore approved plans,specifications,and form of contract for the Replacement of SCADA Master Station as described in Resolution No.99-447 adopted on the 14th day of December, 1999; and, WHEREAS,a hearing has been held on objections to the proposed plans,specifications,and form of contract,and to the cost of the proposed improvement in said City, and all objections thereto have been overruled. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the plans, specifications,and form of contract referred to in the preamble hereof be and the same are hereby finally approved,and the prior action of the Council approving them is hereby finally confirmed;and, WHEREAS,the Council did publish a Notice to Bidders for the construction of said work; and, WHEREAS, all bids have been received and considered. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa, as follows: Section 1. It is hereby found and determined that the bid of Open Systems International of Minneapolis,MN,in the amount of$344,073 is the lowest and best bid for said work, and the same is hereby accepted. Section 2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with the said company in accordance with the company's proposal and the Notice to Bidders, and in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted and approved. Section 3. All bids or proposals received are hereby directed to be filed. Section 4. All other bids, other than that accepted, are hereby rejected, and the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return certified checks accompanying such unsuccessful bids and take receipts therefore to be filed in the Clerk's office. Section 5. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. ADOPTED THIS 7th day of March,2000.
