Home My WebLink About~Master - Approving Voluntary Annexation of Territory RESOLUTION NO. 99-397 RESOLUTION APPROVING VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,pursuant to Section 368.7, Code of Iowa, that the voluntary annexation of land to the City of Ames described as follows and shown on the attached map is hereby approved: That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 6, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M., Story County, Iowa described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; thence N 00'49' 54" E, 80.01 feet along the Westerly line of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter to a point on the Northerly right of way line of West Lincoln Way, said point also being the point of beginning; thence continuing N 00'49' 54" E, 1229.46 feet along said Westerly line to the Northwest Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter; thence S 89' 48' 26" E, 653.26 feet along the Northerly line of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter to the Northeast Corner of the West Half of said Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter;thence S 00'34'08"W, 1227.19 feet along the Easterly line of said West Half to a point on said Northerly right of way line; thence N 90' 00' 00" W, 658.92 feet along said Northerly right of way line to the point of beginning, said Parcel A containing 18.50 acres subject to any easements recorded or unrecorded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall file a copy of this resolution, map, and legal description with the Story County Recorder, the Iowa Secretary of State, and the Iowa Department of Transportation.
