RESOLUTION NO. 99-128
RESOLUTION PROPOSING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE BY QUIT
CLAIM DEED TO MAX PORTER AND MONICA PORTER OF SUCH
RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST AS THE CITY OF AMES SHALL HAVE
IN CERTAIN LAND CONSTITUTING PART OF THE VACATED ALLEY,
ABUTTING LOT 7, WOODLAND PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA; SETTING DATE,TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING
THEREON AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section One. That it is hereby proposed that the right, title and interest of the City of Ames, Iowa
in certain land constituting a part of the vacated alley, abutting Lot 7, Woodland Park Addition to
the City of Ames, Iowa, said land being more specifically described as:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 7, Woodland Park Addition to Ames, Story
County, Iowa, thence south 18 feet to the north boundary of Outlot 2 of Lot 10 of the
west '/2, SW 1/4, Section 4, T83N, R24W, 5th P.M., thence east along the north
boundary of said Outlot 2 to the west line of Lot 10, Athletic Park Addition, thence
a distance of 21.5 feet to the south boundary line of said Lot 7, thence west along the
south boundary line of said Lot 7, 11.7 feet to the point of beginning. Containing
105.3 square feet,
said land not being necessary to city purposes, to Max Porter and Monica Porter for and in
consideration of the payment to the City of Ames of the sum of$317.48.
Section Two. A public hearing on the proposed conveyance as aforesaid shall be held as required by
law to coincide with the City Council meeting of May 25, 1999 which will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the
City Hall, 515 Clark, Ames, Iowa.
