RESOLUTION NO. 19-475
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
1083 AND 1085 Y AVENUE (BOONE COUNTY)
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, application for a proposed Plat of Survey has been submitted for a boundary line
adjustment per Section 23.309 of the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS,the site is located at 1083 and 1085 Y Avenue(Boone County),and the owners are
the Clara N. Whattoff Estate and Steven M. and Elaine M. Stone; and,
WHEREAS, the real estate description is:
Survey Description-Parcel 'A':
A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 84 North, Range 25
West of the 5th P.M.,Boone County,Iowa,being more particularly described as follows: Commencing
at the Northeast Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter;thence SOO'05'40"W, 107.98
feet along the East line of said Section 25 to the Southeast Comer of Lot 1 in the East Half of said
Southeast Quarter,as shown on the Plat of Survey filed in Book 10,Page 43,and the point of beginning;
thence continuing S00°05'40"W,290.62 feet;thence N86°52'41"W,307.13 feet;thence N89°15'25"W,
290.00 feet;thence N 10*09'19"E,391.09 feet to the North line of said Southeast Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter; thence S89°15'25"E, 253.30 feet to the West line of an existing tract in the East half of said
Southeast Quarter; thence S00°08'47W, 111.64 feet to the Southwest Corner thereof, thence
N89.58-51"E,275.18 feet to the point of beginning, containing 4.33 acres, which includes 0.62 aces of
existing public right of way.

A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25,Township 84 North, Range 25
West of the 5th P.M.,Boone County,Iowa,being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at
the Southeast Comer of said Section 25;thence N89°22'5311W, 1319.02 feet to the Southwest Corner of
said Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter; thence N00°13'07"E, 1315.62 feet to the Northwest
Comer thereof; thence S89°15'25"E, 787.80 feet along the north line of said Southeast Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter; thence S10°09'19"W, 391.09 feet; thence S89°15'25"E, 290.00 feet; thence
S86052'41"E, 307.13 feet to the East line of said Section 25; thence S00°05'40"W, 914.18 feet to the
point of beginning, containing 34.72 acres, which includes 2.87 acres of existing public right of way.
WHEREAS,a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been rendered
by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions; and,

NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that
the Plat of Survey for 1083 and 1085 Y Avenue,Boone County, is hereby approved.
