A RESOLUTION VACATING A PART OF THE STORM SEWER EASEMENT
AND A PART OF THE WATER MAIN EASEMENT AT GREEN HILLS
COMMUNITY,2200 HAMILTON DRIVE,AMES,IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames,Iowa,that after notice and hearing
pursuant to Section 354.23 of the Code of Iowa,the portion of the storm sewer easement and the portion of
the water main easement over Green Hills Community described as:
A part of the water main easement filed June 5, 1987 as Instrument No.87-10317 in Book
252 on Page 84 legally described as: 7.5 feet each side of a line particularly described as
follows: commencing at the NE corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 16, T83N, R24W and
running thence S 00°01'40"E 400.0 feet;thence N 89°29' 55"W 1,413.22 feet;thence
N 603 feet; thence E 10.0 feet to the point of beginning.Thence N 69°01' 30"W 192.8
feet.All of the water main easement filed January 17, 1997 as Instrument No. 97-00528-
and legally described as follows: A strip of land 10 feet wide, 5 feet each side of the
following described centerline: Commencing at the northwest corner of Gateway-
Greenhills,Subdivision Second Addition to Ames, Iowa; thence east 60.02 feet to the
northwest corner of Lot 1, said Subdivision; thence S 88' 16' 34"E,428.96 feet; thence

feet to the north line of said Lot 2 and the south line of Lot 6 in Gateway-Green Hills
Subdivision, Ames, Iowa, 61.09 feet westerly of the southeast comer of said Lot 6 and
there terminating,
is hereby vacated.
All other portions of said easement are retained by the City of Ames and shall remain in full
force and effect.
