HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Resolution No. 07-466 adopted October 9, 2007 1 RESOLUTION NO. 07-466 RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF SUBDIVISION REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPERTY ON TIMBER ROAD FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS,this proposal is for a property line adjustment without additional buildable lots being created for property located on Timber Road; and, WHEREAS,the property owners requested a waiver of infrastructure and other urban subdivision requirements, which was referred to staff on September 18; and, WHEREAS,the subject property is located east of Timber Road,south of 276th Street,and north of 280' Street; and, WHEREAS, the applicant wishes to build a specific house plan on the smaller of two lots and to adjust the property line to accommodate the setback requirements of Story County; and, WHEREAS, the proposed home site is currently 1.03 acres in size, and with the property line adjustment, it becomes 1.17 acres in size; and, WHEREAS, staff recommends that approval be granted with the stipulation that the platting requirements of Story County will need to be met and a copy of the recorded Plat of Survey shall be delivered to the Ames City Clerk. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,that the request to waive subdivision requirements for property located on Timber Road is hereby approve subject to the aforementioned stipulation.
