ORDINANCE NO. 987
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 20-5 OF CHAPTER 20 of THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; AND PROVIDING FOR
MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF PLUMBING EXAMINERS.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 20--5 of Chapter 20 of the municipal code
of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed; and the
following be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known
as Section 20-5 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
20-5 Meetings. The board shall meet in the months
of January, April, July and October of each year,
or ofetner, at such time and place as notified by the
chairman of the board, to examine applicants for a
license to engage in or work at the business of plumbing.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflicit with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Moved by Schilletter and seconded by Ratterree that Ordinance
No. 987 be passed on its first reading.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Armstrong
Moved by Schilletter and seconded by Brouhard the rules governing
the passing of Ordinances be suspended, the second and third read-
ings be omitted and Ordinance No. 987 be placed on its final pas-
sage.

Voting Nay: None

Moved by Ratterree and seconded by Eschbach that Ordinance No. 987
be now passed.

Mayor DeHart declared Ordinance No. 987 Duly, adopted.
I, M. W. Jordan, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do hereby
certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 987 was duly
and properly passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 7th
day of February, 1961, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on
the llth day of February, 1961. (1
