ORDINANCE NO. 985 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND PROVIDING FOR CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY AND SERVICES WHERE METER30 ARE NOT INSTALLED OR CONTRACT RATES ARE IN EFFECT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Chapter 26 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section to be known as Section 26-13 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 26-13 Contract Rates and Charges. When it is determined by the City Council that the installation of a meter is impossible or impractical, or that special circumstances exist as concerns a consumer, the City Manager may, with the approval of the City Council, enter into a contract with such consumer for the furnishing of electrical energy at such rates and charges as shall be reasonable and non-discriminatory. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Massed this 16th day of January 1961. . Jo City Clerk P'earle P.
