HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 32 of Municipal Code (Retirement System) t ORDINANCE NO. 984 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 32 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 32-8 THEREOF: AND PROVIDING FOR THE CREDITING AND WITHDRAWAL OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE AMES MUNICIPAL UTILITY EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM. Be It Resolved By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 3 2-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed; and the following be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 32-8 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 32-8 Crediting and Withdrawal of Contributions. All normal contributions and all additional contributions shall be deducted from each corresponding payment of earnings paid to each participating employee and shall immediately be credited to this fund. Additional contributions with regular interest thereon may be withdrawn by the employee at any time, but normal contributions shall not be withdrawn from this fund except as provided for in this chapter. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Passed this 7th day of January 1961. yk I/ ery - M. W. Jdraan, Ci i Pear le P.
