HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Traffic) ORDINANCE NO. 978 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA BY REPEALING SECTION 25-29. 8 THEREOF AND ORDINANCE NO. 927; AND PROVIDING SPEED REGULATIONS ON GRAND AVENUE FROM THIRTEENTH STREET TO THE NORTH CORPORATE LIMITS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 25-29. 8 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and Ordinance No. 927 of said City, be and the same are hereby repealed, and the following be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 25-29. 8 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-29. 8 Speed Restrictions - Grand Avenue. A speed in excess of thirty-five (35) miles per hour on Grand Avenue from Thirteenth Street to the North corporation limits shall be unlawful. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 18th day of October 1960. M. W. Jordan, erk Pearle P.
