ORDINANCE NO. 966
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SEC-R ON 42-23. 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 937
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND PROVIDING THAT IN ANY "D"
DISTRICT OR "E" DISTRICT NO REAR YARD IS REQUIRED FOR A. HOTEL
OR ANY BUILDING NOT USED AS A DWELLING.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 42-23. 3 of Ordinance No. 937 of the City
of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed and the following is en-
acted and substituted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 42-23. 3 of
Ordinance No. 937 of the City of Ames, Iowa:
42. 23. 3 Rear Yards for Hotels and Buildings Not used as a Dwelling.
In any "D" District or any "E" District no rear yard is required for
a hotel or any building not used as a dwelling.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

966 be passed. on its first reading.

Moved by Schilletter and seconded by Lawlor that the rules govern-
ing the passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third
readings be omitted, and Ordinance No. 966 be placed on its final
passage.

Moved by Ratterree and seconded by Lawlor that Ordinance No. 966
do now- pass.

Mayor Pro Tem Judge declared Ordinance No. 966 duly adopted.

Iowa, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance No.
966 was duly and properly passed at a meeting of the City Council
on the loth day of May, 1960, and published in the Ames Daily
Tribune on the 13th day of May, 1960.
