ORDINANCE NO. 94%
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-114B THEREOF
AND PROVIDING ADDITIONAL THIRTY MINUTE AND TWELVE MINUTE PARKING
METER SPACES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 25-113 of Chapter 25 of the Munici
pal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following to be known as Section 25-
113.7 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-113.7 The Sixth and Seventh parking meter spaces
East of Clark Avenue on the South side of Main Street
shall have a maximum time limit of twelve (12) minutes.
Section 2. That Section 25-114.B of Chapter 25 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby
repealed and the following be and the same is enacted in lieu
thereof to be known as Section 25-114.B of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-114.B Maximum Parking Time Limit, Thirty Minutes.
In the parking meter zones established as having a
maximum parking time limit of thirty (30) minutes the
stands supporting the parking meters shall be painted
red. The rate for parking shall be five (5) cents for
thirty (30) minutes.
1. The tenth through the seventeenth parking
meter spaces inclusive on Main Street east of Burnett
Avenue, and the tenth through the seventeenth parking
meter spaces inclusive on Main Street east of Kellogg
Avenue shall have a maximum parking time limit of
thirty (30) minutes.
2. The fourth, fifth and sixth parking meter
spaces West of Burnett Avenue on the South side of
Main Street shall have a maximum parking time limit
of thirty (30) minutes.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Moved by Smith and seconded by Schilletter that the rules govern-
ing the passage of ordinances be suspended and the second and third
readings be omitted and Ordinance No. 94$ be placed on its final
passage.

Moved by Armstrong and seconded by Judge that Ordinance No. 94%
do now pass.

Mayor De Hart declared Ordinance No. 94$ duly adopted.

certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 94% was duly
and properly passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 3rd
day of November, 1959, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on
the 7th day of November, 1959.
