AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-40.6 THEREOF;
DESIGNATING THIRTEENTH STREET AS A THROUGH STREET; AND DESIGNATING
ADDITIONAL STREETS 'WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa,
as follows:
Section 1. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa is hereby amended by repealing Section 25-40.6
and substituting the following in place thereof to be known as
Section 25-40.6 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-40.6. Thirteenth Street from the east corporate
limits to the west line of Crescent Street, except
at Grand Avenue is hereby designated as a through
street.
Section 2. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby amended by adding the
following section thereto to be known as Section 25-105.69 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25 105.69. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times
on the south side of South Second Street from Duff
Avenue west to the north-south alley between Duff
i Avenue and Sherman Avenue.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

946 be passed on its first reading.

Moved by Smith and seconded by Schilletter that the rules governin
the passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third read-
ings be omitted and Ordinance No. 946 be placed on its final
passage.

Mayor De Hart declared Ordinance No. 946 duly adopted.

day of September, 1959, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune
