AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-105.29 THEREOF,
AND DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa,
as follows:
Section 1. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, is hereby amended by repealing Section 25-105.29
and substituting the following in place thereof to be known as
Section 25-105.29 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-105.29. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times
on the North side of Ninth Street from the West line
of Maxwell Avenue to the East line of Brookridge Avenue.
Section 2. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby amended by adding
the followin sections thereto, to be known as Sections 25-105.67
and 25-105.69 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa.
25-105.67. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times
on the West side of Lynn Avenue from the South line
of Knapp Street to the North line of Storm Street.
25-105.68. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times
on the North and South sides of Tenth Street in both
directions, East and West for a distance of Seventy-five
(75) feet from the intersection of Grand Avenue and
Tenth Street.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Moved by King and seconded by Judge that Ordinance No. 944 be
passed on its first reading.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Schilletter
Moved by Smith and seconded by Armstrong that the rules
governing
the passage of ordinances be suspented, the second and third read-
ings be omitted and Ordinance No. 944 be placed on its final
passage.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Schilletter
Moved by Judge and seconded by Smith that Ordinance No. 944 do
now pass.

Mayor De Hart declared Ordinance No. 944 duly adopted.
I, M W. Jordan, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do hereby
certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 944 was duly
and properly passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 4th
day of August, 1959, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on
the 7th day of August, 1959.
