HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 63 of Municipal Code (Busses) ORDINANCE NO. 942 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 63 OF THE MUNICIPAL QJDE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 63-10 THEREOF AND EN- ACTING A NEW SCHEDULE OF FARES FOR JITNEY OR MOTOR BUS RIDES. Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 63-10 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 63-10 of the Municipal Code of The City of Ames, Iowa: 63-10. Fare. It shall be unlawful for any operator of a jitney or motor bus operating under a license as herein provided for to charge any passenger to exceed twenty (20) cents for a continuous ride, provided, however, that the operator shall upon request sell tickets or tokens, good for ten (10 continuous rides, for the sum of One Dollar Seventy Five Cents ( $1.75) . i Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3.
