HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Traffic) ORDINANCE NO. 936 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED. Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby amended by repealing Section 25-105.29 and substituting the following in place thereof to be known as Section 25-105. 29 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 25-105.29. Parking is hereby prohibited on the North side of Ninth Street from the West line of Lot Twelve, Block twenty-six, College Park Addition Second North to the City of Ames, Iowa to the West line of Roosevelt Avenue between the hours of seven (7) o'clock A.M. and six (6) o'.clock P.M. Section 2. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following sections thereto, to be known as Sections 25-105.64. 25-105.65 and 25-105.66 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 25-105.64. Parking is hereby prohibited on the South side of Tenth Street from the west line of Lot Nine, Block Two, Baird ' s Addition to the City of Ames, Iowa to the west line of Roosevelt Avenue between the hours of seven (7) o'clock A.M. and six (6) o' clock P.M. Section 25-105.65. Parking is hereby prohibited on the West side of Roosevelt Avenue from the south line of Tenth Street to the North line of Ninth Street between the hours of seven (7) o'clock A.M. and six (6) o' clock P.M. Section 25-105.66. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times on the South side of South Second Street from South Maple Avenue to South Oak Avenue. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 21st day of April 1959. W. Jor an, y Cler ear a P.
