ORDINANCE NO. 930
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 51 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 51-15.1 THEREOF AND
PROVIDING FOR THE MAXIMUM PROJECTION OF SIGNS OVER A STREET
OR OTHER PUBLIC SPACE.
Be It Ordained By the City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa,
as follows:
Section 1. That Section 51-15.1 of Chapter 51 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is
hereby repealed, and the following shall be substituted in place
thereof, to be known as Section 51-15.1 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa:
51-15.1. Maximum Projection. No such sign shall
project over a street or other public space more
than ten (10) feet from the face of the building
or structure nor in any case beyond a vertical
plane two (21 feet inside the curb line.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided
by law.

Moved by Smith and seconded by Judge that Ordinance No. 930 do now
pass.

Mayor De Hart declared Ordinance No. 930 duly adopted.
