AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 6N TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-29. 6 THEREOF
AND PROVIDING SPEED REGULATIONS ON LINCOLN WAY FROM THE EAST
CORPORATION LIMITS TO BEECH AVENUE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1. That Section 25-29.6 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereb,
repealed and the following shall be substtituted in
place thereof to be knovm as Section 25-29. 6 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa.
25-29. 6 Speed Restrictions, Lincoln tray. A speed
in excess of thirty (30) miles per hour on Lincoln Way
from the East corporation limits to the east line of
North Riverside Drive shall be unlawful; and a speed
in excess of thirty-five (35 ) miles per hour on Lincoln
Way from the east line of North Riverside Drive to the
centerline of Beech Avenue shall be unlawful.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and publication as
provided by laver.

governing the passage of ordinances, and that Ordinance No. 928
be placed on its final passage.

928 do now pass.

Mayor De Hart declared Ordinance No. 928 duly adopted.

and properly passed at a meeting of the City Council on the loth
day of Febr,,xary, 1959, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune
