HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Traffic) ORDINANCE NO. 927 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY PROVIDING SPEED REGULATIONS ON GRAND AVENUE FROM THIRTEENTH STREET TO THE NORTH CORPORATION LIMITS. Be It Ordained By the City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 25-29 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto sub-section 8 to be known as Section 25-29.8 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa. 25-29.8 Speed Restrictions, Grand Avenue. A speed in excess of thirty-five (35) miles per hour on Grand Avenue from Thirteenth Street to Twentieth Street shall be unlawful;; a speed in excess of forty-five (45) miles per hour for Southbound traffic from the North corporation limits to Twentieth Street shall be unlawful; and a speed in excess of fifty-five (55) miles per hour for Northbound traffice from Twentieth Street to the North corporation limits shall be unlawful. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with time prov sions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from an7 after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 10th day of February 1959. M. W. Jor an, y Clerk Pearle P.
