HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 4 of Municipal Code (Bonds) f • a • ORDINANCE NO. 917 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 4-1 THEREOF AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 4-1 THEREOF PROVIDING FOR OFFICIAL BONDS FOR OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA. Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 4-1 of Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed and the following shall be substituted in place thereof and shall be known as Section 4-1 of The Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 4-1 Bond Required. That the officers and em- ployves of the City of Ames, Iowa, herein named, before entering upon the discharge of their respective duties, shall, in addition to the oath or affirmation required by law, execute a bond to said City with a fidelity or indemnity company authorized by law to do business in this state to be approved by the city council, eonditioned for the faithful performance of their duties and that they will account for and pay over to the person entitled to receive the same all money or property belegging to said city which may in any manner come into their hands, in the following sums, respectively: Mayor $1,000.00 Mayor Pro-Tem 10000.00 City Manager 25,000.00 Treasurer 25,000.00 City Clerk 25,000.00 City Solicitor 10000.00 Chief of Polipe 10000.00 Director of Finance 25,000.00 Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances on conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 16th day of December, 1958. . W. Prather, City Cierk ear le P.
