AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF APES IOWA BY REPEALING SECTION 25-40. 14
THEREOF AND ENACTING A NEW SECTION 25-40.14 DESIGNATING
SIXTEENTH STREET AS A THROUGH STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMENS, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 25-40-14 of the Municipal Code
of The City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed
and the following shall be substituted in place thereof to
be known as Section 25-40. 14 of the Municipal Code of The
City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 25-40-14. Sixteenth Street from the
West line of Wilson Avenue to the East line of Maxwell
Avenue, except at Duff Avenue and Burnett Avenue is
hereby designated as a through street.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as
provided by law.

on its first reading.

passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third read ings be
omitted and Ord. No. 911 be placed on its final passage.

Mayor De Hart declared Ord. No. 911 duly adopted.

that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 911 was duly and properly
passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 18th day of November, 1958
and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 24th day of November,
1958.
