AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32-4.4 OF CHAPTER 32 ON UTILITY
RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF T:9E MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA,
BY REPEALING SECTION 32-4.4 THEREOF AND ESTABLISHING A NEW
DEFINITION FOR THE WORD EMPLOYEE.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section 1. That Section 32-4.4 of Chapter 32 on Utility
Retirement System of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa,
be and the same is hereby repealed and the following shall be
substituted in place thereof and shall be known 'as Section
32-4.4 of Chapter 32 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,
Iowa:
32-4.4 Employee. A person in the employment
of the City of Ames, Iowa, on or after the effective
date of this Chapter, who receives in excess of
ten percent (10%) of his salary from the utilities i
of the City of Ames, Iowa for personal services
rendered in connection with the operation, maintenance
or management of said utilities.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after passage and publication as provided by law.

certify that the above and foregoing Ord. No. 907 was duly and properly
passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 21st day of October, 1958
and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 25th day of October, 1958.
