AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42-3(b) and 42-4 OF CHAPTER 42 ON ZONING OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY ZONING RECENTLY ANNEXED LAND AS "A" DISTRICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Sections 42-3(b) and 42-4 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the official Zoning Map therein referred to are hereby amended to include land recently annexed in "A" Districts (Residence ), said 7nnd being described as follows : Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 5, Township 83 North, Range 24, West of the 5th P. M. , thence West along the North line of said Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter 247. 5 feet, thence South 2 degrees 44 minutes West along the center- line of West Woodland Street 104. 1 feet to the point of beginning, thence West 230. 3 feet, thence South 105. 0 feet, thence East 225. 3 feet to the centerline of West Woodland Street, thence North 2 degrees 44 minutes East 105. 1 feet to the point of beginning; and also commencing at the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 5 and running thence West along the North line of said Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter 247.5 feet, the point of beginning, thence South 2 degrees 44 minute West along the centerline of West Woodland Street 104. 1 feet, thence West 95 feet, thence North 2 degrees 44 minutes East 104. 1 feet; thence East 35 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
