AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF FOURTH STREET IN COLLEGE PARK
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1. That a portion of Fourth Street in College Park
Addition to the City of Ames, Iowa, more particularly described
as follows: That portion of Fourth Street, which is fifty (50)
feet wide, lying southeasterly from the East line of Elm Avenue
projected, to the North line of Second Street, is hereby vacated
as a public street and avenue.
Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute in behalf of the City of Ames quit claim
deed or deeds, to said parcel of land above vacated to the
abutting property owners as their respective interests may appear.
Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to make a certified copy of this ordinance and attach
the same to said deed or deeds.
Section 4. Any ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings be omitted

Mayor De Hart declared Ordinance No. 888 duly adopted.
I, J. W. Prather, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do hereby certify
that the above a:zd foregoing Ordinance No. 888 was duly and properly
passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 1st day of April, 1958 and
published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 4th day of April, 1958.
