ORDINANCE NO. 887
AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING
CURB GRADES ON CERTAIN STREETS AND
AVENUES IN THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the curb grades on the following
s reets and avenues in the City of Ames, Iowa be,
and they are hereby established at the elevations
shown on the plats and profiles now on file in the
office of the City Clerk, which said plats and pro-
files are by this reference made a part of this
Ordinance:
WEST STREET - From the East line of Colorado
Avenue West to the East Line of
West Ames Addition.
COLORADO CIRCLE - Nortla from West Street.
CRESTWOOD CIRCLE - North from Carr Drive.
MAXWELL AVENUE - From the South line of Sixteenth
Street, South 501.81 feet.
GLENDALE AVENUE - From the South line of Sixteenth
Street, South 320 feet.
BARR DRIVE - West from Jensen Avenue.
TWENTY THIRD STREET- From the West Line of Jensen Avenue,
West 120 feet.
JENSEN AVENUE - From the North line of Twentieth
Street to the South line of
TwengrFourth Street.
CLARK AVENUE - From the North line of Twentieth
Street to the South line of Twenty
Fourth Street.
TWENTY SECOND STREET- From the South line of Clark
Avenue to the Center of Burnett Avenue.
HARDING AVENUE - From the South line of Sixteenth
Street South 256 feet.
ROOSEVELT AVENUE- From the North line of Sixteenth
Street to Murray Drive.
CARROLL AVENUE - From the North line of Sixteenth
Street to the South line of Duff
Avenue.
SIXTEENTH STREET- West from the West Line of Grand
Avenue.
WILSON AVENUE - From the South Line of Eighteenth
Street to the South line of Twentieth
Street.
EIGHTEENTH STREET- From the East Line of Grand Avenue
to the West Line of Nilson Avenue.

Avenue, West 320 feet.
FURMAN DRIVE - In Melrose Park First Addition.
GASKILL DRIVE - In Moore' s Fourth Addition to
Country Club Heights.
FERNDALE AVENUE - In Melrose Park First Addition.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION ?: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after passage and publication as
provided by law.

first reading.

of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings be omitted and

that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 887 was duly and properly passe
at a meeting of the City Council on the 1st day of A pril, 1958 and published
