ORDINANCE AMENDING SOLICITOR'S ORDINANCE, CHAPTER 9,
MUNICIPAL CODE OF AMES, IOWA.
Section 1. Section 9. 9 of the Municipal Code is hereby repealed
and the following shall hereinafter be referred to as said section.
Section 9. 9. He shall receive a monthly salary to be fixed
by the City Council at the time of his employment or at the
commencement of the bi-an4ual term, which salary shall be
paid bi-monthly from such funds as may be designated or
determined by the City Council.
This said salary shall be for compensation for all trials
in Munic: pal Court involving violations of ordinances, for
attendance at the meetings of the City Council, for all
opinions rende-red to the City Council, City officials,
Boards and Commissions, for drawing up contracts
under which the city is a party, and for the preparing of
ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents
effecting the City.
For all other services rendered other than those specified
in the preceding paragraph including cases in the District
Court and Supreme Court, he shall receive a fee determined
before such services are rendered. This fee shall be passed
upon and paid in the same manner as other claims.
Section Z. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

passed on its first reading.

Moved by Judge and seconded by Schilletter that the rules governing the
passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings be
omitted and Ordinance No. 882 be placed on its final passage

Moved by Schilletter and seconded by King that Ordinance No. 882 do now
pass.

Mayor Pro Tern De Hart declared Ordinance No. 882 duly adopted.

I, J. W. Prather, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do hereby certify
that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 882 was duly and properly
passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 3rd day of December, 1957
and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 7th day of December, 1957.
