HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Ordinance 791 (Mobile Homes) ORDINANCE NO. 862 ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 791 BY FURTHER RESTRICTING THE PARKING OF MOBILE HOMES ON VACANT LOTS . Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows :- SECTION 1 : Section 2 of Ordinance No. �91 is hereby repealed and the following shall hereinafter�e known as Section 2 of said ordinance. Section 2 : Illegal parking of Mobile Homes. It shall e-unlawful for any person, firm., or corpor- ation to park any occupied or unoccupied mobile home : (a) On any public street, alley, highway, or other public place within the corporate limits of the City of Ames, for a period of time in excess of two (2) hours, and then only between the hours of sunrise and sunset. (b) For more than forty-eight(4b) hours on the premises of any occupied dwelling or busi- ness building, nor more than twenty-four ( 24) hours on any lot which is not a part of the premises of any occupied dwelling or business building, except in a licensed mobile home park, unless a permit therefor shall have been first obtained as required herein. (c) No municipal utility services shall be provided for any mobile home parked on a lot not improved by a dwelling or business property and then such services shall be available only as incident to the services to such dwelling or business property. SECTION 2 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict withthe provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed. SECTION 3 : This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 4th day of December , 1956• Pr ,er, City Clerk )4 I.
