Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows :- S7CTIOY 1 : Section 140 .7 of Ordinance No. 843 is here- by repealed and the following shall hereafter be known as Section 140 .7 of said ordinance : SECTION 140.7 . 'Nest Street from the East line of Sheldon Averiue to the ':Jest line of 'Woodland Avenue is hereby designated as a through street. SECTION 2 : Ordinance No. 843 is hereby amended by adding the following sections : SECTI0TJ 140.11. tNoodland Street from West Street to the 'East line of Franklin Avenue is hereby designated as a through street. SECTION 140.12. South Third Street, from the 511es ine of uff Avenue to the 'Nest line of '.'lalnut Avenue, is hereby designated as a through street. SECTION? 140.13 . Ash Avenue from the South line o Lincoln Xay to the South line of `�napp Street is hereby designated as a through street. SECTION 3 : Section 141.3 of Ordinance No. 843 is hereby repealed, and the subsection numbers corrected as follows : 141.4 to 141.3 141.5 to 141.4 141.6 to 141 .5 141.7 to 141.6 141.8 to 141.7 141 .9 to 141.8 141.10 to 141.9 SECTION : Ordinance No. 843 is hereby amended by adding the following sections : SECTION 1 1.10 . The intersection;-- of, South Fourth Street and South Riverside Jrive is here- by designated as a special stop intersection. Traffic approaching this intersection from South Fourth Street shall stop before entering South Riverside Drive . S"CTION lhl.11. The intersection of 13th Street and Duff Avenue is hereby cesignated as a special stop intersection. Traffic approaching this intersection from all directions shall stop be- fore entering the intersection. SECTION 141.12. The intersection of ;'Jest Street and 'Noodland Street is hereby designated as a special stop intersection. Traffic on Nest Street approaching this intersection from the '.Nest shall stop before entering the intersection. SECTION 141 .13. The intersection of ':Vest Street and Franklin Avenue is hereby designated as a special stop intersection. Traffic on 'vest Street shall stop before entering Franklin Avenue. SECTION 141 .14. The intersection of Oakland Street and Franklin Avenue is hereby designated as a special stop intersection. The traffic fro the 'west approach of Oakland Street shall stop before entering the intersection.. SECTION 5: Ordinance No. 843 is hereby amended by adding the _ o owing• section : SECTION! 156.1. Careless driving. Any person who rives a vehicle in such a manner as to endanger the safety of persons or property is guilty of careless driving. SECTIO'i�T 6 : Section 205.39 of Ordinance No. 843 is hereb repealed and the following shall hereafter be known as Section 205.39 of said ordinance : SECTION 205.39 . Parking is hereby prohibited at all times on the South side of 6th Street from Duff Avenue to she 'Vest side of Brookside Park. SECTION 7 : Section 205.40 of Ordinance -^To. 843 is hereby repealed and the followin_; shall hereafter be known as Section 205.40 of said ordinance . SECTION 205.40 . Parking is prohibited at all times on the South side of T�na_op Street from the "lest line of Ash Avenue to the East line of Stanton Avenue . SECTION 8 : Ordinance No. AL3 is hereby amended by adding e following sections : SECTION 205.54. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times on the Nest side of Franklin Avenue from 'doodland Street to Lincoln "lay, and on the West side of ;youth Franklin Avenue from Lincoln Way to Tripp Street. S'�CTION 205.55. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times on the North side of woodland Street from .Franklin Avenue to `Nest Street. SECTION 205.56. Parking is hereby brohibited at all times on the North side of 'lest Street from 'doodland Avenue to Howard Avenue. SECTION 205.57. SECTIO?d 9 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con 7lict with the provisions of this amendment are hereby re- pealed.
