HORNBACRER, Recorder ORDINANCE NO 820 ey................................................Deputy AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY BETWEEN BLOCK TAREE, NASHIS ADDITION AND BLOCK FOUR, LINCOLN ULACE ADDITION TO AMES, IOiPIA, EXTENDING NORTH AND SOUTH BETINEEN SOUTH SECOND STREET ANIID SOUTH . . THIRD STREET AND LYING BETWEEN SOUTH HAZEL AND SOUTH MAPLE AVENUE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows : SECTION 1: That the alley between block�hree, Nas is Addition and block four, Lincoln lace Addition to Ames, Iowa, extending north and south between South Second Street and South Third Street and lying .between South Hazel and South Maple Avenue, upon recommendation of the City Planning Commission and investigation by the City Council, is hereby determined to be unnecessary as a public alley and is hereby vacated and discontinued. SECTION 2: That it is hereby determined as necessary and proper that the City retain a right-of-way and easement for any and all public utilities over, under, and across the said vacated alley. SECTION 3: That the Mayor and City Clerk' are hereby authorized and directed to execute a quit claim deeds, containing the proper easement and reservation, conveying said alley equally to the abutting property owners, as their respective interests may appear. SECTION That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make a certified copy of this ordinance and attach the same to said deeds . SECTION 5: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict-with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 6 : This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and publication as provided by law.
