ORDINANCE NO. 788
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING BUILDING LINES ON EACH
SIDE OF KELLOGG AND DOUGLAS AVENUE, FROM FIFTH STREET
TO SEVENTH STREET.
Be It Ordained By the City Council of the City of Amesq
Iowa , as follows:
SECTION 1: Building lines. A building line is hereby
established on each side of Kellogg Avenue, from Fifth
Street to Seventh Street, parallel to and forty feet
(40 feet) from the center line of Kellogg Avenue.
SECTION 2 : Building lines. A building line is hereby
established on each side of Douglas Avenue, from Fifth
Street to Seventh Street , parallel to and forty feet
(40 feet) from the center line of Douglas Avenue.
SECTION 3 : No encroaching construction. No buildings,
structureq or additions thereto shall be erected on land
lying between said building lines as here established
on Kellogg and Douglas Avenues.
SECTION 4: Penalty. Any person, firm, or corporation
violating any provisions of this ordinance shall upon
conviction be fined a sum not exceeding one hundred
dollars ($100.00) and in default of payment thereof term
shall be committed to the city or county il for a
of not exceeding thirty (30) days.
SECTION : Repeal. That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION_6: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its final passage and publica-
tion as proveded by law.
