ORDINANCE AMENDING TRAFFIC ORDINANCE NO. 728 BY
PROVIDING METER OPERATION FOP, MONDAY NIGHT STORE
OPENING IN FIRST DISTRICT AND THURSDAY NIGHT STORE
OPENING IN SECOND DISTRICT.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Ames , Iowa , as follows :
SECTION 1: Section 212.1 as amended by Section 5
of Ordinance No. 745 is hereby specifically repealed
and the following shall hereinafter be known as
Section 21.2 .1 of said ordinance.
Section 212 .1: Parking Meter Zones , Schedule
of Meter Control.
There are hereby established certain zones , to
be known as parking meter zones. The parking
meters erected in said parking meter zones
shall schedule the parking meter time limits
as set out in Section 213 and 214 and subsections
thereof , as follows :
District No. 1 (Downtown). On week days ,
except Mondays and holidays , from the hours
ofrnne o'clock A. M. to six o'clock P. M. ,
and on Mondays from twelve o'clock noon to
nine o'clock P. M.
District No. 2 (Fourth Ward) . On week days
except Thursdays and holidays , from rune
o'clock A. M. to six o'clock P. M. , and on
Thursdays from nine o'clock A. M. to nine
o'clock P. M.
SECTION 2 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this amendment
are hereby repealed.
SECTION a: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after passage and publication as
provided by law.

ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings omitted and Ordinance
No. 757 be placed on its final passage.

Mayor Lawlor declared Ordinance No. 757 duly adopted.
