HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Establishing Building Lines on Sixth Street ORDINANCE # 755 ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING BUILDING LINES ON EACH SIDE OF SIXTH STREET, FROM DUFF TO GRAND AVENUE. Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames , Iowa , as follows: SECTION 1: Building lines. A building line is hereby established on each side of Sixth Street, from Duff Avenue to Grand Avenue , parallel to and 422 feet from the center of Sixth Street. SECTION 2 : No enioaching construction. No building, structures , or additions thereto shall be erected on land lying between said building line and Sixth Street. SECTION 1: Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction be fined a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) and in default of payment thereof shall be committed to the city or county jail for a term of not exceeding thirty (30) days. SECTION 4: Repeal. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage and publication as provided by law.
