ORDINANCE NO. 754
ORDINANCE AMENDING PLUMBING ORDINANCE NO. 542 BY ESTABLISHING
CERTAIN SANITARY SEWER CONNECTION FEES.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames , Iowa ,
as follows :
SECTION 1: Ordinance #542 is hereby amended by inserting after
Section 20 thereof , the following Sections 20.1 and 20.2.
Section 20.1: Sanitary Sewer Connections - Non
Contributors. Upon the completion of the construction
of any extension of or addition to the Sanitary
Sewer system, not installed under special assess-
ment proceedings , the City Manager shall prepare a
plat of the area served by such extension and
shall designate thereon the areas , if any, that did
not participate in the construction costs of
said sewer extension. A certified copy of such plat
shall be filed with the office of the County Recorder.
Section 20.2 : Connection fee. Upon the issuance of a
plumbing permit to service any of the said non-
contr3 uttng areas , a sanitary sewer connection fee of
$, "O 00 0 shall be collected, in addition to other
charge or inspection fees herein provided.
Section 2 : All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with this provision of this amendment are hereby repealed.
Section 3 : This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after passage and publication as provided by law.

of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings omitted and
Ordinance No. 754 be placed on its final passage.

Moved by Smith and seconded by Judge that Ordinance No. 754 do now pass.

Mayor Lawlor declared Ordinance No. 754 duly passed.
