ORDINANCE AMENDING WATER RATE ORDINANCE #719, BY
CHANGING RATES FOR USERS OUTSIDE CORPORATE LIMITS,
AND ESTABLISHING CORRECTED RATES.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Ames , Iowa, as follows:
SECTION is Section 3 of Ordinance #719 is hereby
specifically repealed and the following shall herein-
after be known as Section 3 of said ordinance.
Section 3. Rural Rates.
The amount to be charged for the use of water
from each water meter connected to the water
supply system of the City of Ames , Iowan serving
customers located outside the corporate limits
of the City shall be computed from the following
schedule of rates:
First 1000 cubic feet of water used in any one
meter reading interval of approximately 30 days.
per 100 cubic feet - - - - - - - - - - - $1.00
Next 4000 cubic feet of water used in any one
meter reading interval of approximately 30 days,
per 100 cubic feet - - - - - - - - - - -s •46
All over 5000 cubic feet of water used in any one
meter reading interval of approximately 30 days ,
per 100 cubic feet - - - - - - - - - - - $ .32
The above rates shall be based on the consumption
of water through one meter and no combinations of
meter readings shall be used in computing the
amount to be charged„
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this amendment are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 1: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after passage and publication as pro-
vided by law,,
