HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Vacating a Certain Alley between Clark and Wilson ORDINANCE NO. 750 AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY NORTH OF FIFTEENTH STREET BETWEEN CLARK AND WILSO.'-, AVENUE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWi�., AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the alley running North from Fifteenth Street, between Clark Avenue and Wilson Avenue for a distance of 106 feet, located in Block 4, Eness Addition to tmes, Iowa, is hereby determined to be unnecessary as a public alley and is hereby vacated and discontinued. Section 2: That it is hereby determined as necessary and proper that the City retain a right-of-way and easement for any and all pb lic utilities over, under, and across the said vacated alley. Section 3: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a quit claim deed containing the proper easement and reser- �vations, said alley to be divided equally between the abutting property owners, as their respective interests may appear. Section 4: Th,-;;.t the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make a certified copy of this ordinance and attach the same to said deeds. Section 5: All ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions f this ordinance are hereby repealed. .-section 6: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after passage and publication as provided by law.
