PARTICULARLY SECTION 15; AND REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 668. Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 668 is hereby specifically repealed and the following shall be hereinafter known as Section 15 of Ordinance No. 592: "Section 15. For the purpose of regulating prices chargeable under this Ordinance, the City of Ames shall be divided into five zones. The various zones and their boundaries are hereby established as shown on the official Taxicab Zoning Map of the City of Ames, Iowa and which, with all its designations, is hereby declared to be a part of this Ordinance. An official copy of said Taxicab Zoning Map in- cluding a certificate by the Mayor as to its adoption, and its effect- ive date, duly attested by the clerk is on file in the office of the City Clerk of Ames, Iowa. No person, firm or corporation operating a taxicab under the provisions of this Ordinance shall charge more than the following amounts and prices: (1) The prices charged for taxicab services between any points within Zone I or between any points within Zone II shall not exceed the following: For one passenger, 400 For two passengers from same origin and destination, 300 each For three or more passengers from same origin and destination, 250 each (2) The prices charged for taxicab services between Zone I and Zone II shall not exceed the following: For one passenger, 650 For two passengers from same origin and destination, 400 each For three or more passengers from same origin and destination, 350 each (3) The prices charged for taxicab services between Zone I and Zone III shall not exceed the following: For one passenger, 500 For two passengers from same origin and destination, 350 each For three or more passengers from same origin and destination 250 each plus 100 addition to total fare. (4) The prices charged for taxicab services between Zone I and Zone IV or between Zone II and Zone III shall not exceed the following: For one passenger, 750 For two passengers from same origin and destination, 450 each For three or more passengers from same origin and destination 350 each plus 100 addition to total fare (5) The prices charged for taxicab services between Zone II and Zone V or between Zone IV and Zone V shall not exceed the following: For one passenger, 600 For two passengers from same origin and destination, 400 each For three or more passengers from same origin and destination, 250 each plus 20¢ addition to total fare. (6) The prices charged for taxicab services between Zone I and Zone V shall not exceed the following: For one passenger, 850 For two passengers from same origin and destination, 50¢, each For three or more passengers from same origin and destination, 350 each plus 200 addition to total fare. -2- (7) When two or more passengers are picked up at different places or are picked up at the same place and discharged at differ- ent places, the one-passenger rate shall apply to each of such passengers. (8) For each trunk carried in connection with a passenger, an additional fee of 500 per trunk. (9) For each minute or fraction thereof for waiting time, the sum of 5¢ waiting time shall mean time consumed while waiting at the direction of a passenger. (10) For each intermediate stop, at the direction of a pass- enger on a direct route a maximum charge of 100 shall be made." Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this amendment are hereby repealed. Section 3.
