N ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 430, AN ORDINANCE REGULATING
HEATERS, SKATING RINKS OR OTHER PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS BY AMENDIN
ECTION 9A "SKATING RINK" AND BY INSERTING SECTION 12A "UNLAWFU
O SELL BEER ON THE PREMISES".
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1: That Section 9A of Ordinance No. 430 of the City
rdinances of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby specifically repealed and the
ollowing shall hereinafter be known as Section 9A of Ordinance No. 430:
"Section 9a, Skating Rink. That the license fee for a skating
rink shall be the sum of $25.00 per year. Each license to expire
on the 31st day of March of each year."
Section 2: That Ordinance No. 430 of City Ordinances of the City
Ames, Iowa is hereby amended by inserting after Section 12 the following
ection to be known as Section 12 A of Ordinance No. 430:
"Section 12A, Unlawful to sell Beer on Premises. It shall be
unlawful to sell, barter, furnish or possess in such skating
rinks, or place or in any place appurtenant thereto any
intoxicating liquors, or beer or malt liquors as defined by Section
124.2, Code of Iowa, 1950, or to permit any such acts to be
done."
Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
ith the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This amendment to Ordinance No. 430 of the City
rdinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in full force and effect from
d after passage and publication as provided by law.
