AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 539, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDIN
FOR THE LICENSING, OPERATION AND REGULATION OF BOWLING ALLEYS B1
AMENDING SECTION 3 "FEES" AND BY INSERTING SECTION 14A "UNLAWFUL
TO SELL BEER ON THE PREMISES".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1 . That Section 3 "Fees" of Ordinance No. 539 of
the City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby specifically repaled
and the following shall hereinafter be known as Section 3 of Ordinance No. 539:'
"Sec$on 3, Fees. The annual license fee for a bowling alley
shall be $ 25.00 payable in advance."
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 539 of City Ordinances of the
City of Ames, Iowa is hereby amended by inserting after Section 14 "Prohib-
itions" the following section to be known as Section 14A of Ordinance No. 539:
"Section 14A, Unlawful to sell Beer on Premises. It shall be
unlawful to sell, barter, furnish or possess in such bowling
alleys or place or in any place appurtenant thereto any
intoxicating liquors, or beer or malt liquors as defined
by Section 124.2, Code of Iowa, 1950, or to permit any
such acts to be done."
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This amendment to Ordinance No. 539 of the City
Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and publication as provided by law.
