AN ORDINANCE V11C4TIT1G A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 4 07
KIhTGSBURY'S ADDITIOT,I TO TTiE CITY OF AMES, I014A..
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Aries, Iowa:
Section 1. That the southerly sixty-six (66) feet
of the alley as platted in Block 4 in Kingsbury' s Addition to
The City of Ar-.es, Iowa, being more particularly described as
commencing on the northeast corner of Lot 14 in said '.Block 4
and running thence south along the easterly line of said Lot
14 a distance of sixty-six (66) feet to the southeast corner
of said Lot 14, thence east sixteen (16) feet to the southwest
corner of Lot 13 in said Block 4, thence north along the westerly
line of said Lot 13 a distance of sixty-six (66) feet to the
northwest corner of said Lot 13, and thence west sixteen (16)
.feet to the 'glace of beginning, be and the same hereby is vacated
as a public alley.
Section 2. That the 'Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute in behalf of the City of Ames a quit claim
deed to said parcel of land above vacated to the abutting proper-
ty owners, subiect to any restrictions that the City Council may
impose for the nurpose of insurin to the City any easement ,
right of ingress or egress , and cost of conveyance.
Section 3. That any ordinance or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided
b)* law.
