ORDINANCE NO. 707
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 662 AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 665 PARTICULARLY SECTION 2 of SAID ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1. That Section 2. "Residential Rate Schedule" of Ordinance
No. 662 as amended by Ordinance No. 665 of the ordinances of the City of
Ames, Iowa, is hereby specifically repealed and that the following should be
hereinafter known as Section 2 of Ordinance No. 662:
"Section 2. Residential Rate Schedule.
One meter rate for residential use. Residential use for the purpose of this
ordinance shall include only residential property under one meter not to
exceed two family residences or single residences where meals are
regularly cooked in and served from a common kitchen or lodgings
furnished for compensation to no more than five persons not members of
the family there residing.
First 100 K.W.Hrs. consumed during meter reading intervals
of approximately 30 days, per K. W. Hrs. . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 0.05
All K.W.Hrs. consumed in excess of 100 K.W.Hrs. during
meter reading intervals of approximately 30 days . . . . . . . . $0.02
Minimum charge for meter reading interval of approximately
30 days or fraction thereof . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $ 1.00"
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith,
particularly Section 2 of Ordinance No. 662 are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and publication as provided by law. '
