SECTION 4 AND PARAGRAP H (b) OF SECTION 3 TlEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY T. E CITY COUNCIL GF T 1-IE CITY OF AYES, IOWA
Section I. That Ordinance No. 583 passed February 1, 1943, entitled:
"An ordinance regulating the size of buildings and otrier structures, tile
size of yards, courts, and otner open spaces, tree portion or percentage of
lot that may be occupied, the density of population, the location and use of
buildings, structures, and land for trade, industry, residence or other
purposes, establishing the boundaries of districts deemed best suited to
carry out tie provisions of taus ordinance, requiring the issuance of building
permits before the erection, construction, conversion, alteration, enlargement ,
extension, raising, or moving of any building or structure, defining certain
terms, providing for a board of adjustment, providing for a manner of
amendment of this ordinance repealing all conflicting ordinance, and
providing penalty for a violation of its provisions."
be and the same is ,iereby amended by amending and changing the official
zoning map referred to in Section 4 and in Paragraph (b) of Section 3 of said
Ordinance, so as to change and rezone from "B" District (Multiple residence)
to a "C" District (Local Business) all of the following described property:
Beginning at the Sout_=least Corner of Lot 13 in the West 1/2
of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 4, Township 83, No rth Range
24 West of the 5th P1VI in the City of Ames, Iowa, thence
North 106.2 feet, thence West 150 feet, thence North 69
feet, t_,ence West 50 feet, tnence South about o8 feet,
tnence West 100 feet to the West line of said Lot 13, thence
South 100 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Lot 13, thence
East along tie South line of said Lot 13 300 feet to the point
of beginning.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This amendment to Ordinance No. 583 of the City
Ordinances of the City o f Ames, Iowa, shall be in full force and effect from
and after passage and publication as provided by law.
