NO. 587, AN ORDINANCE DEFININ TrIE POWERS AND DUTIES C.F T E CITY SOLICITOR AND PROVIDING CON'-PENSATION T&iEREFORE, PARTIC -LARLY SECTION 8 & SECTION 9. BE IT ORDAINED BY T!-iE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA: Section 1. Tnat Section 8 of Ordinance No. 587 of t.ae Cit.: Ordinances of the City of Ames Iowa is hereby specifically repealed and the following shall hereinafter be known as Section 8 of Ordinance No. 587: ''Section 8. He shall receive a monthly salary to be fixed by the Council at the time of his employment or at the commencement of the biennial term which salary shall be paid bi-monthly, from such funds as may be designated or determined by the Council. This said salary shall be for all services rendered as City Solicitor and may be increased or di_n,inisAed from time to time by agreement between tiie City Solicitor and the City Council." Section 2. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 587 of the City Ordinances of the City of Ames; Iowa is hereby specifically repealed. Section 3. This amendment to Ordinance No. 587 of the City Ordinance of the City of Ames, Iowa shall not be in force and effect or supersede the present ordinance until April 1, 1952 and after passage and publication as provided by law.
