ORDINANCE NO. 700
AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CURB GRADES
ON STREETS AND AVENUES IN THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1. That the curb grades on the following streets and avenues
be and the same are hereby established at the elevation shown on the plats
and profiles filed in the office of the City Clerk which plats and profiles are
attached to and made a part of this ordinance:
Clark Avenue - south line of Main St. to north line Chicago and
North Western Railway Right of Way.

1 Thirteenth Street - East line Duff Ave. to east line Maxwell Ave.
1 East Third Street - East line Duff Ave. to west line East Ave.
East Second Street - East line Duff Ave. to west line Des Moines A e.

Des Moines Avenue - North line Lincoln Way to south line East 3rd St.
Sherman Avenue - North line Lincoln Way to north end Sherman Ave.
Market Avenue - North line east and west alley between Lockwood's
Addition and Ames Grain & Coal Addition to north
end of Market Avenue
Elm Avenue - North line Lincoln Way to south line 4th St.
Hyland Avenue - North line Cakland St. to north line Ontario St.
Beech Avenue - South line Sunset Drive to south corporate limits
Ash Avenue - South line Country Club Blvd. to south corporate
limits
Friley Road - West line Friedrich's 2nd Addition to west line
Beech Ave.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its
passage and publication as provided by law.

I, J. W. Prather, City Clerk of the City ,of Ames, Iowa, do hereby certify that
the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 700 was duly and properly passed at a
meeting of the City Council on the 5th day of March, 1951, and published in
the Ames Daily Tribune the day of 1951.
