NO. 682 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 647, "AN ORDINANCE REGU- LATING TRAFFIC AND PARKING UPON THE STREETS, AVENUES, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC PLACES OF THE CITY OF AMES," BY AMENDING SECTION 19A, "PARKING PROHIBITED," AND BY AMENDING SECTION 62, "ENTER- ING STOP INTE_EZ:SECTIONS." Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa: Section 1. That Section 19A, "Parking Prohibited," of Ordinance No. 647 of the City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, is hereby specifically repealed and the following shall hereinafter be known as Section 19A of said Ordinance No. 647: "Section 19A. Parking Prohibited. The parking of vehicles is also hereby prohibited at all times in the following places: (a) On the east side of Duff Avenue from the north line of Fifth Street to the south line of Sixth Street. (b) On the north side of West Street from Sheldon Avenue to Hyland Avenue. (c) On the east side of South Kellogg Avenue from Lincoln Way to South Second Street. (d) On the south side of Sixth Street from the east side of Wilson Avenue to the west side of Burnett Avenue." Section 2. That Section 62, "Entering Stop Intersections," of Ordinance No. 647 of the City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, is hereby specifically repealed and the following shall hereinafter be known as Section 62 of said Ordinance No. 647: "Section 62. Entering Stop Intersections. At the following stop intersections the driver of a vehicle shall stop in obedience to a stop sign as required herein at an intersection where a stop sign is erected at one or more entrances thereto although not a part of a through high- way and shall proceed cautiously, yielding to vehicles not so obliged to stop which are within the intersection or approaching so closely as to constitute a hazard: (a) At the strop sign installed on Wilson Avenue at the south line of Sixth Street at the intersection. (b) At the stop sign installed on Wilson Avenue at the north line of Fifth Street at the intersection._" Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed. Section 4. This amendment to Ordinance No. 647 of the City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in full force and effect from and after pass age and publication as provided by law.
