AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NA14E OF HIGHWAY AVENUE TO HAWTHORNE
AVEN`0 IN THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iolra.
Section 1. That the name of the street heretofore known and established
as Highway Avenue is hereby changed to and established as Hawthorne
Avenue.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full Force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed this 16th day of May, 1949.

properly passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 16th day
of May, 1949, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the
