Be It ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames , Iowa: Section_ 1, That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 576 of the City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, is hereby specifi- cally repealed and the following shall be hereinafter known as Section 5 of Ordinance No. 576: "In all cases, as a condition precedent to the issuance of a permit , the person, firm or corporation making the application shall: (a) Pay to the City ClerK the following fees: (1) A15.00 for t he first day fixed by the permit; (2) �'10.00 for each additional day as fixed by the permit; O In case an extension of time is granted to the applicant, a fee of 10.00 per day for each additional day so granted. (b) File a good and sufficient bond with the City in the amount of A2500.00, with sureties thereon to be approved by the City Clerk, conditioned that the , said applicant will pay any or all damages incurred in the moving operation which may be caused to any pro- perty, either public or private, within the City of Ames, whether such damage or injury shall be inflicted by said applicant, his agent or employees, and also conditioned that aaid applicant will waive and indemnify and hold the City of Ames harmless against all liability, judgments, costs and expenses which may in any wise accrue aE-ainst said City in consequence of the granting of such permit, and will in all thins strictly comply with the conditions of the permit. " Section 2. Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict wit'., the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed. Section 3. This amendment to Ordinance No. 576 cf the City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
