AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18 OF ORDINANCE NO*
578 OF THE CITY ORDINANCES OF 711; CITY OF A'/M.,
IOWA, SAID ORDINANCE NO. 578 BEING AN ORDINANCE
RFGULA.TING TRAFFIC AND PARKING UPON THE STREETS,
AVENUES, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC PLACES OF THE CITY OF
AMES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa.-
Section 1, That Section 18 of Ordinance No. 578 of the
City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby specifically
amended by adding thereto the following paragraph, said following
paragraph to be known as (cc) :
s" (cc) On the north side of West Street between Campus
Avenue and Hyland Avenue."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This amendment to Ordinance No. 578 of the City
Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by
law*

passed on its first reading.

Moved by Palmer, seconded by McCormick, that the rules be suspended,
the second and third readings omitted and. Ordinance No. 627 placed
on final passage.

Voting Nay: None
Moved by Knight, seconded by Gray, that Ordinance No. 627 do now
pass.
Voting Aye: Gray, Knight, McCormick, Acheson, MacDonald, Palmer
Voting Nay: None
Mayor declared Ordinance No. 627 adopted.
To J. W. Prather, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do
hereby certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance No.
627 was duly and properly passed at a meeting of the City
Council on the 16th day of December, 1946 and published in
The Milepost on the 20th day of December, 1946.
