AN ORDI.��ANCE AIIENDING SECTION 3 B. OF ORDINANCE NO. 553 OF THE
CITY ORDI-NANCES OF THE CITY OF AME5 IOWA, SAID ORDINANCE NO. 553
BEING All ORDI ANCE ESTABLISHING- AND,REGULATING RATES TO BE CHARGED
FOR SALE OF 1ATER AND RELATING TO PAYMENT OF BILLS AND MINIIvM1
iytONTHLY CHARGES FOR 17ATER SERVICE.
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa:
Section 1. That Section 3 B. of Ordinance No. 553 of the
City Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa is hereby specifically
revealed and the following shall be hereinafter fl-nown as Section
3 B. of Ordinance No. 553:
"B. Payment. The above net rates apply only when
billed as follows:
In District No. I as established by this ordinance
on or before the twentieth day of the month, provided,
however, that if said twentieth day falls upon a Sunda
or holiaay then said time shall be extended` to the rc- xt
business day.
In District No. II on or before the first day of the
month following date of invoice, provided, however, that
if said first day falls upon a Sunday or holiday then said
time shall be extended to the next business day.
In District No. III on or before the tenth day of
the month, provided, however, that if said tenth day falls
upon a Sunday or holiday then said time shall be extended
to the next business day.
When not so paid the gross rate ten per cent (10%)
above the net rate shall apply. All minimum charges are
for one month or fraction thereof. 11
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this amendment are hereby repealed.
Section. 3. This amendment to Ordinance No. 553 of the City
Ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa, shall be in force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed this 16th day of December, 1946.

passed on its first reading.

the second and third readings be omitted and Ordinance No. 625 be
placed on final passage.

Mayor declared Ordinance No. 625 adopted.

do hereby certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance
No, 625 was duly and properly passed at a meeting of the
Dity Council on the 16th day of December, 1946 and
published in the Ames Daily ibune, on the 19th day of
December, 1946.
